Dr Mark Bowman will present this 1 hr Webinar Mission Accomplished on PFAS or more work to do? The webinar will consider what progress has been made in responding to PFAS in Australia and what are the next emerging issues on the horizon. It will seek to test the pulse of the efforts to date and comment on the return on investment and progress. This will include discussing regulatory, community, research and industry attitudes and describing future opportunities and constraints.

Meet your presenter

Dr Mark Bowman

Technical Director – Contamination Assessment and Remediation
GHD Pty Ltd

Dr Mark Bowman is experienced in land, water and sediment assessment and remediation of legacy & emerging contaminants and unexploded ordnance.

For over 10 years, he managed decontamination programs within the Australian Department of Defence supporting base redevelopment, range, and training area UXO clearances and off estate UXO and contamination management.

In 2022, he joined the leading Australian Contamination and Environment Management team at GHD as a Technical Director for Contamination Assessment and Remediation.

Dr Bowman holds a PhD from the University of Sydney, BSc Applied Sci (Hons) (University of Adelaide) and BSc (Australian National University).

Dr Bowman has held prior appointments as the Co-Chair of the Australia Group New and Emerging Technologies Committee and Implementation Committee. He has also had a long association with CRC CARE including as Chairperson for the CRCCARE III bid and was appointed a CRC CARE Fellow in 2022.
