Faster, Better, Cheaper: Risk-Based Investigation and Remediation of PFAS

This two-day workshop brings together an internationally experienced group of experts to present up-to-date approaches for the identification, assessment and remediation of PFASs

Overview

The Contamination of soil, water, and food crops with highly toxic, per- and poly-fluorinated alky substances or “PFASs” represents the most challenging environmental problem of the modern area.

The workshop is intended to cover many aspects such as characterisation, assessment, remediation, and management of PFAS including fate and transport with a focus on key physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of soil and groundwater affected by PFAS. A focus on design and monitoring approaches, with case studies woven within the course, will be used to provide the attendees with background for developing potential solutions to these complex issues.

Who should attend?

Remediation practitioners, geologists, researchers, academics, contamination consultants and regulators. This workshop is suitable for both experienced and new professionals in the environmental industry.

Course attendees will also receive:

  • An information pack containing: course notes, handouts, group activities, and PowerPoint slides on a USB drive
  • A certificate of completion on request

Why attend?

This workshop provides insights into the contamination of groundwater and soil by per- and poly-fluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) and related issues confronting environmental regulators, practitioners, and owners of contaminated sites.

This workshop draws together new knowledge with practical experience to provide participants with enhanced skills and knowledge to manage even the most challenging sites, regardless of their current level of experience. Attendees will learn best practices in chemistry, fate and transport, investigation, risk assessment, remediation, and destruction of PFAS’s.

The workshop brings you an invaluable networking opportunity to build connections with our world-class subject matter experts on the topic, as well as with your fellow delegates.
