THESIS TITLE
Green synthesis iron nanoparticles with plant leaves and their application in environental remediation
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Iron–polyphenol complex nanoparticles (Fe–P NPs) synthesised using various plant leaves have potential for remediation of contaminants. In this project the synthesised Fe–P NPs are being characterised using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), x-ray diffraction (XRD), x-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS), x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), fourier transform infra-red spectroscopy (FTIR) and other analysis equipments to understand the properties of these nanoparticles. The nanoparticles have been tested for removal of dye in water as absobate and used as catalyst for Fenton-like reaction.
